About me
Susannah Gridley has worked in the health and wellbeing sector since 2001. She has an MSc in Health Education and Health Promotion, and extensive experience in delivering services to improve physical and mental health, along with wellbeing support and 1:1 advice and guidance.
During this time, Susannah has developed a keen interest in the links between physical, emotional and mental health, and the importance of a fully holistic approach to wellbeing. In 2025 she began studying Anatomy and Physiology, gaining a thorough understanding of the body and mind and how they work together. She completed her VTCT Level 3 qualification in Massage in summer 2026.
Susannah’s vision is to reframe massage treatment from being considered a luxury, beauty product, to an essential part of keeping people well. The physical effects of massage, of calming the nervous system, boosting circulation and oxygen flow, and removing toxins and waste, all have huge benefits not only in terms of reducing anxiety, releasing muscle tension, and improving sleep, but also in providing the opportunity to step back from the stresses of daily life and rebalance. Every individual is unique, and holds stress, niggles and sometimes pain in different parts of the body. Working with you, Susannah will identify these needs and offer tailored treatments, as part of a calming, relaxing and revitalising routine.
Susannah is a mum of 2 and has lived in York since 1999. She also works at the University of York as a student adviser.
